I've read a few instances online where folks simply pour regular and premium on some metal to see which results in more crystalized build-up but I'm wondering if something a little more concrete can be done easily. What if I were to pour equal amounts of standard and premium onto equally weighted containers and allowed them to fully evaporate. Once evaporated, I'd weigh the residue left behind. I know there might be discrepancies with batches but to claim less crystallization while charging a premium for it, I'd think regardless of batch the results should be telling.

Any issues (or a better way) with the above approach?

You could do that. Plus apply heat to the samples and see which one evaporates faster.

I’ve done this and the platinum def stays waxier and doesn’t crystallize like the cheap stuff.
