Ok, (NOT ASKING ABOIUT BRAND OF OIL).

Looking at a change in the near future for front and rear diffs ... I had read and heard that it is 75/85(or 90) normally but 75/140 if towing ...

Now, in trying to be accurate, I looked in the owners manual and a few online places and I also looked at the build sheet for my JT ... My Mojave has an M220 axle in back and a M210 Axle in front ...

Per the manual it states 75/85,90 for both and it states that if I had a M200 Axle that I would need 75/140.

Now, My truck does have a "Trailer tow package" which I believe is really just a Class IV hitch and nothing else ... On the build sheet it also has a 240 Amp Alternator and a larger cooling fan. I think that these options come with all Mojaves ? And not as a result of the "tow package" ? Im not sure here ... But it does have these things ...

Does anyone know what JT would have a M200 Axle and why ? Is that the actual Max Tow diff ?

In any event it seems clear after a bit of research (Wish that the manual was more clear as the only place my diff types are listed is on the build sheet which is not readily available), that I just need 75/90 in both ... I don't tow much at all ...

Just wondering if someone can educate me here ... What is the M200 diff and why does it need 75/140 ? Curiosity has got the best of me ...

Oh, and if anyone knows the capacity of the diffs and transfer case that would be very helpful as the owners manual does not list a capacity ...

If you search around a little, you will find the listed capacities for the M210 and M220 differentials on the Mojave. IIRC, it's 1.53Q rear and 1.09Q front. Per the manual, you are supposed to fill to approximately 1/8" below the bottom edge of the fill hole with the vehicle on a level surface. Always fill to the proper level regardless of capacity listed.

I really can't help with questions about the M200, other than its a Dana 35. Knowing what I know about lubricants for industrial gear drives, I can only assume that the M200 sees higher loads than the M220, requiring a lubricant with a higher viscosity at operating temperature.

I have a 2021 Mojave without the trailer tow package. My build sheets lists "220 Amp Alternator" and "Standard Duty Engine Cooling". The Trailer Tow Pkg should be 240 Amp alternator, HD cooling, Class IV hitch and trailer hitch zoom for the rear camera.
