The KO3s don’t seem to hold them as much as the Duratracks.
I do pick them out quite regularly where the fender meets the body though.

I definitely do. The Goodyear Wranglers I have are a very aggressive tread. If there is a rock in it, it is probably decent sized.

If you drive 60+ mph on dirt/gravel it's pretty rare that any get stuck in the tires in the 1st place. The MTs help with that too.

Look up " stone drilling in tires ". I remove mine ever since a friend had a flat due to a stone that he said " I have been hearing it click for the past few miles".

Gravel driveway, gravel road and broken pavement and dirt gravel road to get to solid pavement road so not normally I'd spend half my time just stopping to do that. If I have one that's clicking I have stopped to remove some. Most of the time the tires eject them.

When I notice them, I usually pick them out. I don't look for them either. I forget....then hear the BAM when one hits a hinge or something later.

However...I do like that tire rock tool that SaiintNick mentioned. Ill be getting that on the next Amazon order. I will use that when I remember to.

A rock tool? I just use the flathead screwdriver bit in my Swiss Army knife.

You guys have "OCD" issues. Stones are too small to stick in my treads. Boulders may stick tho.

This is what I'm scared of. I've seen the damage this causes. Tri axles getting on the road from a construction site.

I pick them out periodically with this tool, but I really hate the KO2's for this reason.

I just got this in the mail. I figured it has to work, it has claws all directions on it, its not expensive. I saw a rock in a back tire, I was headed to work, a little later than I like to leave, I had to try the Stone Cleaning Hook. It was easy, I walked around the vehicle picking them out, then left.
It left me wondering how long the rocks had been in there. I went off road Monday after work, worked overtime Tuesday, so no unpaved roads. Went to the Doctor Wednesday, an hour away by paved roads, one of them an expressway. SO, a rock can be thrown out when we least expect it.
Im not going to remember to pick out rocks, but when I do, it is easy to do.

AGREE! I remember my Dad teaching me about these back when I first got interested in driving.
I am seeing lately a large plastic mat with studs pointed up at the exit of construction sites. I just figured out what they are for, now.

My Falkens held stones from my 800foot driveway for a few miles down the road But with over 50,000 on them that has gone away, UNTIL TUESDAY when I get new Falken pizza cutters , will be throwing stones again, I can’t watch so I drive with my eyes closed for the first mile or so. Winter is different , I consider the stones renewable traction studs great on the ice!……Jack
