Sport S cloth seats w/ heaters from cold weather pkg.

Don’t know why I hadn’t asked this question yet, maybe because it’s my first Jeep, but is the driver’s seat back supposed to flex/move so much? And this is only the right side of the seat back. It really wobbles/moves, and I think it’s why I feel like the seat is on a slant. I sat in the passenger seat today and that thing is firm, wow.

Do I have a broken seat?

Interesting - I haven't noticed this with mine. Will check tomorrow but mine seems to not flex or move unless I'm not paying attention. I have an 8+ hour trip with it Friday. Will try to pay attention. I had my wife drive it for a while earlier in the week and sat in the right seat - and it was definitely solid and comfy, no issues.

Going to visit a dealer tomorrow and see if a warranty claim is indeed necessary. At the very least maybe I sit in another JT to compare.

I had the same issue. If you recline your seat completely, it should find the ratcheting piece on the other side and it should fix itself. That’s how I fixed mine.

Guess I'm the joke of the day at the Jeep dealer... turns out the fix does work, it is operator error. I asked the svc tech how he got the seat back in the track and he told me that the issue can happen if you adjust the seat back leaning too far one side or the other. I know all you other guys are used to this sort of seat thing, but this is totally foreign to me LOL.

@Englane - you get the props after all :like:

Awesome! I’m glad it was an easy fix! It was so confusing when my seat would move like crazy when my daughter pushed on it, but my wife’s was rock solid.
