I'm in the middle of shopping for a drop in bed liner, I don't want to drop $1,000 for a quality spray liner and I shouldn't be doing anything beyond what a quality drop in liner would handle... I just don't get why RealTruck has theirs listed for $279 and my local dealers want $380+ tax and the Mopar part seems to be out of stock locally, my dealers aren't able to order it, the one that does have it wants $100 over MSRP for it.

The ones available from the mopar dealers want $300 for shipping.

I might just end up biting the bullet and going with a spray in liner... thoughts, anyone?

Just do a rubber bed mat. I have one from DeeZee and gets the job done. I know several dealers that mark the plastic bedliners up because they are a pain in the ass to store and ship because of the size so they charge more for the hassle.

I went with these, this time around. The first one had the factory bed liner, which I did like. I have a RSI Smartcap that won't come back off, once I get it on. I wasn't willing to pay extra, and hassle with any type of bed liner install.

Facebook Marketplace in your area may have cheaper options

I popped a Rugger Liner in immediately after buying my 20.

I haul a lot of fire wood every year.

It's cheap, no dents in the bed as the spray ins have, I pulled it out last year to see if the wives' tale was true about wearing though the paint.

No wear, and it protected the fender wells where a pad does not.

Do a search in your locality for a dealer.

No complaints.

A rug is not an option really. Transporting dirt bikes, couches, car parts, hell a leaky transmission just last lumber, my wifeā€™s marketplace find of the week, totes, computer equipment, tools, camping gear, fire wood, rain, sun or snow, tonneau cover on or offā€¦ if I canā€™t just hose it off and go, then it wonā€™t work out.

I waited on my 21 since October to address it, itā€™s not too beat up but itā€™s starting to look like crap. I went with a Rugged Liner, shop said itā€™ll be $380 installedā€¦. They said itā€™s $380 whether they install or not, itā€™s $100 more than Real Truckā€™s website, but itā€™ll be better protection than what I have now.

I tried a local shop, listed on the Rugged Liner website. Again, four years ago in a different economy. Charged $220.00 installed, shipping included.

All factory stuff works with the Rugged Liner, including a blocker board.

The JT and the truck before it had Line-X spray liners. The 3 trucks before them had the drop in liners. I'll never go back to the drop in liners again. All 3 had the paint wear off on the floor off the bed. Anything that gets between the bed and liner will wear the paint faster. I still got dents in the beds. I removed the liners about 4 times a year to clean what was under them.

I pulled the line out this past fall, to take a peek. Washed it out, put a coat of paste wax on, un-buffed, cleaned the liner and put it back in.

Shop around on the spray-in. Donā€™t just go to LineX or whoever. Call your local utility, find out who their garage uses to upfit their service trucks, etc. Ask (non-Jeep) dealerships who they use.

My spray liner was $450 one year ago. Iā€™ve hauled firewood, and all kinds of rough heavy stuff and it still looks like new.

My Line-X was around $550 in '22.
