Does anyone know if you can order the Rubi with the “Rubicon” on the hood in blacked out letters as opposed to black and red? Why they do that along with the stupid red stitching in the interior is beyond me. I want to order mine in gator green. Don’t need any red to appear anywhere on the truck.

Also is the rear back-up camera on the tailgate standard? I know the front one is an option.

I'm not sure about the rubi lettering, I am sure back up camera is standard on all vehicles made from 2018 forward by federal mandate from NHTSA.

You can always take the original decals off and put whatever you want on there. Pixeldecals is a great site with lots of Jeep specific options. I've ordered from them 3 times for my JK. Always top notch quality and reasonable pricing.

Second on Pixel Decals. High quality decals with quick service. And lots of customization options.

Depending on your seat preference, you can make the red inside go away. Go to the configurator and spec it with Dark Saddle. Red stitching goes white.

I would imagine they'll sell the custom seats like in the Wrangler... but in the Wrangler when you choose them it reverts to cloth then adds the seats, so the red comes back on the wheel and such. It would be nice to be able to pick the Dark Saddle to get rid of the red, then swap the black seats so you could choose either Tan or Black by your preference. Something to play around with anyways if you haven't already.

It appears the tailgate cam is standard, at least on the Rubi, but I am concerned about it, since I'm likely to go lift and 37s. 37 won't fit under the bed, so I've been looking at dual swing tire carrier bumpers like Expedition One has or something similar... but that will almost surely block the camera and it will have to be duplicated or relocated.

The tailgate cam is standard, as a back-up camera is now required by law. People have actually been relocating the camera to the center of the bumper on the JL when they lift, mount oversized tires or spare delete, as each of these will mess with the angle. I think it's a pretty easy process. If I can find the thread I'll post it here.

I played around with it on the site. There’s no way to completely get rid of the red. Whoever is in charge of the color schemes Must be either color blind or has no tase and probably shouldn’t be in charge of matching colors, because apparently they think red goes with everything. It’s retarded!

I agree. TBH I think having the humongous RUBICON tag on any of the Jeep models itself is super tacky. Similar to buying unnecessarily large logo prints on some brands of clothing/luggage/etc. Just me though, I'm sure my views don't reflect the majority.

Agreed! Pixel Decals is great! You can even have stuff customized there.

I agree with you on this! What they should do in the interior is make the accent colors match the exterior paint.

Was only meaning on the interior. All the red stitching is replaced with white when you choose Dark Saddle seats. But then you have to like what amounts to tan seats... ugh.

If what you're meaning beyond that is the Rubicon logo, the Jeep logos and the Trail Rated badge... yeah, they're pretty bad with the red fringes on some colors and especially something like Gator. I've already been conspiring to replace/remove and/or black them out as I think they look terrible too.

I will go and disable the camera when I buy one. I don't need a camera. I know how to park.

Pretty useful when connecting a trailer or backing up in the dark, i.e. not on paved lots. I have a feeling you wont be disabling the camera because that would be stupid.

Chad(and his Nutz), you didn't come to this forum looking for reason and rationality, did you? I mean, this thread is titled "Dumb Question," after all.
