Anyone running these and can give some feedback about fitment, quality, etc? I've read mixed reviews about DV8 products in general.

I'd really like some Ace Engineering sliders because I can use them with my Rubicon/Willys factory sliders, they look clean and simple, and provide a bit of step surface for my toddler sized wife. However, I'm see that they were just bought out by another company, and that makes me a bit nervous. Not to mention the leadtimes are long and the price on them is pretty high.

Looks to be mostly pinch seam bolts with 1 frame bolt. Kind what you'd expect from DV8 honestly.

You going to be using them as sliders or steps? Because these are basically a metal version of the plastic Overland step board with 1 body bolt tossed in, and that's probably more to support the pinch seam bolts than support rocks.

The Ace Engineering ones just increased in price again. Looks like I'm probably going to go with the Rock Hard Patriot sliders (angled up). They have enough step area to get the job done, they cover the pinch seam, and look to be pretty solid.

I have been going back and forth as well. Looked at the Ace Engineering and the price went up by about $100 in 2 hrs. Where are your going to order your Rockhards from? It looks like shipping is $200 from the manufacture, but free with Northridge4x4

Yea the lead time has been something I was looking at and causing to want to find something else. However it is hard to find something at a reasonable price and that can be a step and slider.

I've not see that particular DV8 product, but the DV8 step sliders I installed bent into the body on a rock ledge. They replaced them under warranty, but I didn't put them back on.

It seems like DV8 is more fashion over function, so I'm definitely going to go another route.

The Fab Fours look like a viable option, even though they don't cover the pinch seam....but not much to step on.

Is this going to be more of a step or an actual rock slider?
For me I really am looking for both functionality. My wife is 4’-10 and I have 5yo and 11yo. They need the step to get in, but would also like protection for when we are off roading

ill just throw out there the LOD offroad sliders. They are sturdy as hell mount wise. The steps themselves are aluminum and you should get a skidplate that they sell to go on them. But they are great for a step. I wouldnt use them as a jack point or anything but some offroad abuse is reasonable (with the skid).

I wouldn't go with those for offroading, basically all pinch seam mounted. Someone else above mentioned they had a diff DV8 and they bent on him.

Those are crazy thin metal. Only 0.120 inch thick tube which is why they are so cheap. They are at least body mounted. But in general Fab Fours is also going to be a 'for show not go' brand.

In that general price range, I think your best bet is going to be NFab. 0.188 thick tube and body bolt mounted. Will not hide the seam. $787 at Northridge.
