Have the chance to grab a set of DV8 sliders locally for a decent price. Mixed reviews online. Anyone own and have an opinion? Would like to use them as a semi step for the wife and kids.

They’re a little narrow as a step, but my wife used it successfully. Just don’t use them as rock sliders. They will bend into the body if hit hard.

how would they be for light wheeling? I’m in the northeast, so more overlanding style. I do want some protection or I will just keep my OEM running boards and keep the wife happy.

For most people, they will be fine. If the full weight of the Jeep needs to be supported, look elsewhere.
