Hi,

looking at doing an engine conversion as my 3.6 decided it needed a new oil drain hole…. I believe the bottom of the rod kissed the inside of the upper sump…🤦🏼‍♂️
Here in Australia hemi conversions are upwards of 50-60k so I have an 800hp Barra to take its place, it will be running a Haltech 2500 and can replicate what ever signals I need. So my question is what signals can bus related does the pcm need to retain all functions. Cheers

I don’t know how similar it is to max ECU. You may want to take a look at theirs, but they have a can analyzer. Which you can tap into the OBD two port and read the can signals at that point you can copy it’s destination and data that it’s emit. I’m fairly new to understanding the whole can system myself. But I am intrigued of making this swap viable for any person that is able to do a DIY I believe the first step in this is using the max ECU, which has the ability to run 8HP 70 ZF transmissions understanding this is the 8HP 75 which is used in most swaps. I believe there may be functionality for this to work and using this as a piggyback through the OBD two port.

Based on my lurking here and in the FI side, you may want to consult with @DAVECS1 .
