These look like the same ones, but I don't care for the body armor. I wanted just the rails. I painted them myself. First used 60 grit flap wheel to rough them up, then a self etching primer, then 3 coats duplicolor bed liner. The texture is slightly rougher than the factory steel options, but close enough that be one will likely notice but me. And thanks, I think they look sharp too.
awesome, thanks for sharing your process on getting them to look so nice. i'm assuming self etching primer, is better than normal primer?

You and me both. I've used it before on bare steel and it did great, but never with bed liner. The trick is on the last coat of bed liner hold the can further away for a more matte finish. If you are too close it will have a shine.

Honestly, I've been looking at them on Northridge's site over the last few weeks and it was very clear to me that they sell them as 3 separate pieces, or rockers + mounting kit + skins.
That's on you man. I don't think they should send you a $240 mount kit because you read it wrong.

Who knows what was on Northridge's website or Evo's website when the OP was looking and placed his order?

Below is what's there now. Good luck with getting it resolved. One of those two companies should address this with you and make you happy assuming it wasn't your fault.

I'm not sure why you had to post this story here before you resolved it with one or both of the companies but that was your choice. Hopefully you end up happy but your post and this thread will remain for a long time after....

I'm not trying to be an ass. I've ordered a large amount of stuff through Northridge over the last 4 weeks and have had the Bombers in my cart/out of my cart multiple times. What they have listed now is what I've been seeing the whole time. It's just wrong to trash a company when he recieved exactly what he paid for.

Perhaps when he did a Google search it brought him to the bomber rail page without mount kit. They should do a better job in the title of the product like saying "RAILS ONLY".

Either way, I'm glad he posted this, because now I know a place that sells just the skins.

There is no resolution, I paid for the mounting kit.

I never asked them to send me anything free.

The website has been updated to stop this from happening again. When you applied the filter for a 2020 gladiator and search rock rails, and filter for company EVO, two options used to pop up: with and without skins. Since I wasn't interested in skins, I clicked on the rockers only. There was no rocker + mounting kit option. Since I never clicked on rockers with skin, I never saw that they had separated it into 3 pieces. How was I supposed to know? I even read over the installation instructions and no mention was made. Since you WERE interested in the skins, you saw that the total price was broken down into 3 separate parts.

Lol, I have to put this here too.
From your own build.
"They accepted my card on the 31st and my order has been pending ever since. I sent an Email today and asked a question via their website. I got response from the e-mail shortly later saying It would be 1-2 weeks and an ADDITIONAL $350 shipping on top of what they already charged me."

"In all my years of buying parts I’ve never had a vendor reach back out and try to get a larger shipping charge. Order was cancelled, and I’ll be trying to reorder from another vendor tomorrow. I would advise anyone to not order from Vivid Racing."

Hurts when you expect one price and get another doesn't it?

Nice jeep by the way.

Glad I could help, I am not the least bit disappointed in the rails, they are impressive. The skins are probably awesome too.
Northridge ships incredibly fast. Just make sure there are no missing pieces, like required mounting hardware.

I don't see the two situations as the same. As mentioned in my build thread I paid for shipping, order sat pending until I reached out and then they sent me an e-mail asking for an additional $350 to ship. Googling around they (Vivid Racing) are apparently well known for stuff like that. In fact, for shits and giggles I put the same lift in my shopping cart a week later and was quoted an even lower rate than the first time. I digress.....

Looking at that last post on how you got to it I can understand your frustration here. Maybe I understood it because they break the EVO lift kits out the same and I had been mixing and matching until I ordered the full kit. You recieved exactly what you paid for and then started a thread calling the vendor out on it.

Good luck with your truck man. Those bombers look awesome and I will be looking forward to seeing how they look without the skins. I don't think I've ever seen them mounted without them. Make sure you post some pics.

As a final follow up, Evo drop shipped the mounting brackets nearly as fast as Northridge did. The Rockers are installed and they are awesome. The quality of the fabrication is second to none. The welds are perfect, the bends are perfect, the fit is perfect. Install is easy but time-consuming, there are about 100 nuts, bolts, and washers in all and very few of them are accessible with power tools. I was able to do the install solo without too much trouble. The attach both to the frame mounts and to the pinch seems and should be able to take hard hits no problem.

Those look good! What did you finish them with?
Also, nice to see the title has been changed.

They are finished with Dulplicolor truck bed lining. I didn't opt for Powdercoat because I want to be able to repair scratches myself.

I changed the title because the Bombers are such a high-quality product I didn't want to turn off people from Northridge or Evo because of one less than stellar experience that has been corrected so it won't happen again to others.
