Hi all, I thought I'd share something with you in case anyone experiences the same thing as me.
I bought an XLT mat a few months ago. This is the mat that like the full bed rug has one piece that spans the gap between the bed and the tailgate.
I spent months trying to "train" it to fold up. when I shut the gate. But often ended up picking it out of the gap. I called bed rug and they told me that I was doing the right thing trying to "train" it to fold up.
I eventually called to return it and they told me they would exchange it but it would be my responsibility to ship it to them. I wasn't happy about that, so I thought Eff it.
I just let it fold down into the hinge area of the tailgate. There was some slight resistance in the beginning, but now that its taken a crease, it folds in with no resistance.
So if this is driving you nuts. Just go with it. Let it fold down. It seems to work fine.
