Factory Alpine Premium sound system

Hello,

I am new to the Jeep scene and would like to see if anyone can share photos of their factory Alpine speakers. I am not convinced that the speakers in my Jeep Gladiator are Alpine speakers as there is no branding any kind. I took off the cover to the speakers in the sound bar and I they look like the regular speakers that I see folks upgrading to Alpine speakers.

Nope. Speakers are actually different. There is no Alpine branding on them, but the Alpine speakers have different part numbers than the non-Alpine speakers.

Aren't the speakers different/better? The speakers in non premium packages are absolute paper mache garbage. Jeep also makes it difficult to upgrade to new speakers without an amp because the factory systems are 2 ohm systens. Most afternarket speakers are 4 ohms. I will be doing a full sound system upgrade with Insane Audio JL3001, amp, powered sub, speakers, etc. Have everything, hope to get it in on Thursday.

Thank you for your reply, I was under the impression that all speakers will be Alpine and not just the subwoofer and amplifier. Pretty expensive option for a sub and amp only.

See above. The Alpine upgrade does have different speakers. It's not just an amp and subwoofer. There is no Alpine branding on any of the speakers or the sub.

The standard speaker system has 8kHz crossovers on the 3½” speakers, so the 4” speakers are used as woofers & mids.
Are there any crossovers on the 3½” speakers in the Alpine system?

The video is talking about pre-production/production hybrid for model year 2015, so JK Wrangler.

With the Alpine system, the amp actually handles the crossovers.

Yes, but that system is what made it into the 2015 and above JK models and is essentially the same in the JL Wrangler and JT Gladiator.
