So I've tried looking this up on here & multiple other locations around the web, but I haven't gotten any clear answer yet. Has anyone had any success in getting patches to stick to the factory headliners? I tried with a few velcro patches I have around the house, but to no avail. I've thought about installing via the iron-on technique, but I'm not sure how that would go. Plus, you don't have the luxury of removing them easier (or so I think).

I wish I would've just done the Hardtop Headliner install afterward, because I hear velcro patches are a breeze for those, but I didn't think it would be a huge dealbreaker for them to be installed from the factory. Any help/advice is welcomed. Thanks!

One solution is that you can buy sheets of velcro from fabric stores which could easily be installed over the headliner. There are numerous premade morale patch boards or sheets that could be installed as well.

I never could get patches to properly adhere to a headliner either. Ended up making my own rectangular patch sheet which I attached straps to and hung from my roll bar and behind the visor.

There are many adhesives that would work, if you're ok with it being permanent.

Decided to actually think this time & forgot that these should do the trick. Would allow for removal when desired. Ugh, sometimes stepping away from something helps...

I ended up using these velcro Command Strips which seem to hold the best for me. Others I used didn't hold well at all & the patches would fall after 30-45 minutes. These, I put them in place & have yet to have one of them fall. I pick up a pack here & there from Lowe's or Home Depot & cut to size depending on the patch.

Here's what they look like up there. I've added a bunch of patches since taking the pics below & all are doing great.

I can take an updated pic in a little while to show the longevity of them as well as how I stacked everything on the headliners. Let me know if you have any further questions!
