You're using logic and making sense - that was outlawed a while ago.
Sorry. Maybe that's why I never got promoted in government work.

When I purchased my Gladiator, it had only the painted bed. Spoke to my salesman who gave me the name of a local guy who does all their spray in liners. Called him and he got me right in the next week. Did my Gladiator and two others same day. He used the same product as the LineX, lower price than going to the LineX dealer with same results. Good thick coating, hit all the major areas the dealer does plus the lifetime warranty. Couldn't be more pleased with his quality of work and price.

All that to say, check with your dealer, I'm sure they have a local business who they send out to for their spray in liners. Especially if they are in an area where the line dealers aren't readily available.

Best of luck to you.

Just put an order in Monday for a Diesel Rubicon, and the spray-in bed liner could not be added.

I had the Line-x liner put in. It is the glossy version and it cleans so much better than the sand paper type factory liner I had in my Nissan. I am very happy a year later.

Yup. Only the Rubicon Diesel is affected which blows away any speculation about a plastic shortage in my book.
What ever the true story is, it’s not likely to come from Jeep any more than the trailer brake controller mystery.

Emailed Gupton to start the process of ordering my Rubicon Diesel and was told the following by Daniel Gupton himself:

"Spray In Bedliner is currently unavailable to order. I'm not sure if that is a permanent change or temporary but we cannot add that option even though it shows available on the Jeep.com website."

Anyone know anything... I cringe at the idea of having it done aftermarket and it not coming out well.

Oh yea, and a bunch of options went up in price
For me its
+$100 Keyless proximity
+$100 8.4 radio Prem Audio
+$170 LED Lights
+$50 Steel bumper
+$195 M/T Tires
+$100 3 Piece black roof

Total +$715
It's now May, and the Rubicon still cannot be ordered with diesel AND bed liner both. The other trims can.

What specifically is the issue with a Rubicon+Diesel+Spray In? Is there some functional reason they can't do this?

I’ve been trying to get an answer to that question on all levels. Just like the trailer brake controller. They refused to comment in any way.

I got Factory spray in liner on mine and if I had to do it over I would have had it done at my local shop. The factory sucks at it and I am still finding over spray spots on mine a year later plus don't get me started on them not plug the bolt holes in the bed of the truck.

The factory did a good job with the bedliner on my truck. The trail rails were factory installed, so no issues for me with spray in the bolt holes.

I have to agree. The factory did a great job with the spray in bedliner.

I’m not reading through 6 pages of stuff but I may have some good info for you. Tonneau cover and bed liner are not avail on the diesel because of the added weight. When I ordered my diesel JTR two weeks ago I reached out to a friend who works for keep within planning and production for the wrangler and gladiator. He was unaware it wasn’t available but after looking into it he said it looks like it was never available and it’s permanently locked meaning it won’t ever be available. He couldn’t get a straight answer but what he was able to piece together is that they are trying to shave any weight they can from the truxk. Every pound counts when you have a 600lb+ added into a truck that affects the tow rating more..

But only on the Rubicon? Strange.
