It's now May, and the Rubicon still cannot be ordered with diesel AND bed liner both. The other trims can.Emailed Gupton to start the process of ordering my Rubicon Diesel and was told the following by Daniel Gupton himself:
"Spray In Bedliner is currently unavailable to order. I'm not sure if that is a permanent change or temporary but we cannot add that option even though it shows available on the Jeep.com website."
Anyone know anything... I cringe at the idea of having it done aftermarket and it not coming out well.
Oh yea, and a bunch of options went up in price
For me its
+$100 Keyless proximity
+$100 8.4 radio Prem Audio
+$170 LED Lights
+$50 Steel bumper
+$195 M/T Tires
+$100 3 Piece black roof
Total +$715
I have to agree. The factory did a great job with the spray in bedliner. The factory did a good job with the bedliner on my truck. The trail rails were factory installed, so no issues for me with spray in the bolt holes.
But only on the Rubicon? Strange.I’m not reading through 6 pages of stuff but I may have some good info for you. Tonneau cover and bed liner are not avail on the diesel because of the added weight. When I ordered my diesel JTR two weeks ago I reached out to a friend who works for keep within planning and production for the wrangler and gladiator. He was unaware it wasn’t available but after looking into it he said it looks like it was never available and it’s permanently locked meaning it won’t ever be available. He couldn’t get a straight answer but what he was able to piece together is that they are trying to shave any weight they can from the truxk. Every pound counts when you have a 600lb+ added into a truck that affects the tow rating more..
