Fender Vent Delete

Since they came out I have always thought the fender vent was pretty lame. Has anyone ever pulled them off? Is there a hole in the fender? I think the fender and flare would have a cleaner overall appearance if the vent plastic looking thingy wasn’t there. Definetly not interested in any decals drawing additional attention to it.

Thanks man, that is a big ugly hole!
The black plastic mesh just looks cheap to me. Wish there was another option. I assume the vent just draws air in to aid in cooling?

It's more of an exit hole while driving, the air will pull into the front of the grille and out the sides. Probably doesn't help much with heat but helps prevent hood flutter on the highway. Try a light maybe?

Hmm…how easy would it be for that vent to get clogged or partially obstructed?

I’m thinking about the diesel people with overheating issues.

Probably pretty hard to clog, maybe if you were slinging mud it could cake on there but otherwise it's in a pretty safe spot.

JCR fenders come with a metal piece to cover it. Maybe they'd sell it separately. At least better than plastic.

Could always turn them into functional turn signals with accent lighting.
