Hello all,
Looking for a fire extinguisher mount for inside my JT. Found several for the Wrangler but nothing for the JT. Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks for your time,

+1 to above, the roll cage spot is a potential hazard IMHO. The one shown in the second post looks nicely functional, but I'd want to rotate it into the back corner behind the roll bar, and I'm guessing it's a little too big to fit there, and the release knob would be inaccessible (unless it can be reversed)

Personally I'm happy with this spot at the front of the driver's seat - but this install uses Desert Does It seat jackers and their mounting plate which isn't particularly cheap. Unfortunately the contour of the floor here means it's not trivial to just bang something out here with some bar stock and a hammer. The mounting plate is very handy though, I also have my VHF/UHF radio hard mounted to the back side of it

With my 1/2” driver seat elevation spacers mine fits right under my seat with easy access. Can pull it from the side or atraight out the front part of the seat.

Honest question, why do people like to mount these in the cab, rather than the bed? If my truck is on fire, the last thing I want is to be forced to go back into it to try and finagle the fire extinguisher out. Wouldn't it be better to keep it in the bed, where it's easier to get at in an emergency?

One answer for some of us: enclosed camper over the bed means quite a few actions to get to the bed. Probably similar for tonneaus. And why have it outside in the rain, snow, dust, etc if it doesn't need to be. Mounted to the driver's seat means I can just grab it on the way out of the truck

I've seen various comments to the effect of "let it burn and let insurance sort it out" over the years. I haven't had a fire on my own vehicle, though I have helped to put out a brake fire on a friend's car. It was a few minutes of panic trying to do something with sand and water bottles; in the end only a piston dust boot was really damaged (just a rebuilt caliper and it was fixed). I'm not going to stand around that thinking "I hope this spreads to the whole car and totals it, and all my stuff, a thousand miles from home on vacation." Extinguisher is cheap and solves a lot of common situations.

I mount mine in the cab in case I'm stuck in it and need it. In my JK, I flopped and the fire extinguisher was on the back roll bar. As I was hanging there, I quickly realized I was screwed if I had a fire right then. In my JK, it's on the floor in front of the drivers seat now. The Gladiator is not in the best spot for this type of incident but it's more handy than in the bed.

I'm also a volunteer fire fighter so in the bed is 2.5 Gal water extinguisher with class A foam and the 5 lb in the cab.

This makes the most sense, thank you.

I wonder if the best combo is then something substantial in the bed if you need it, and one of those Element extinguisher sticks inside the cab.
