First Granite Crystal VIN# Post Here

Yeah. My dealer is getting a Punkin soon that I could get as well as a Sting Gray and it just drives me crazy that they can get one of those that soon and all you LE guys have been waiting an eternity and I am at 10 weeks. It would Ben nice if someone at FCA or somewhere could explain why they would produce Punkin before satisfying 4 month old orders. This is first new vehicle I have ever ordered. I have bought plenty but never ordered. This has soured me on the whole process and don’t think I will ever do it again.

I’m convinced all the paint BS about GCM LEs is just that, crap... I don’t know why they decided to wait till Sept/Oct to deliver the GCM LEs but I’m more convinced than ever, it was their plan all along! (Have to admit, my dealer told me from the gitgo, delivery between August & October!) Looks like he’s right again! ;{

The dual top rumor I started a couple of posts back. But a rumor has to start somewhere.

5% under invoice was the best LE deal on launch day (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/whos-going-to-give-the-best-le-deal.15208/). I think @spenchey and Kent in Idaho were the only ones who committed to that. Idaho is roughly half the distance from Iowa for me, so went with Kent.

With affiliate (i.e. tread lightly) pricing now accepted, you should be able to do at least 1% under invoice (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...ly-discount-signup-summary-fca-program.14631/) if you didn't negotiate something better when you ordered. Remember with TL you need to be a member for 30 days before you can get a control # (which you need when you pick up the vehicle), so if you are going that route sign up soon. Really depends if you committed to a purchase price when you ordered, what that price was, etc.

While it would be nice to be designated a CDI and get employee pricing (which would be roughly 5% under invoice), or throwing in a soft top for our troubles, I doubt Jeep feels like they owe us anything or has any remorse for stringing us along for ~6 months (by the time the vehicles are actually delivered, assuming they actually do build & ship in the next few weeks).

If it's true that CG LE's are no longer pink unicorns,
I'll be ecstatic with any August ship-date.
FYI: My Existing car lease ends 8/31 and I'm too old to walk to work.

Here's the latest Granite LE info I see based on postings in this thread. If I'm missing something, post or IM and I'll update. If you are in D1 you should have an estimated ship date when that was assigned (have to get from dealer since concierge line won't provide). Right now they are all between 8/29 and 9/6.

Informally tracking some folks updates in other threads as I stumble across them. Here's some typical recent build progress. Build contents are all over the map, so take this with a grain of salt. There is about a 11-16 day "purgatory" between D1 and E/F where there are no updates (which is where we all are right now). So for the folks that went D1 early last week (~8/12), hopefully should start seeing E+ updates the end of this week or early next, especially those who are scheduled to ship end of next week.

My dealer offered me another Silver LE that is in transit (fooled once, shame on you; fooled twice, shame on me). At this point it would only beat my Granite by a few weeks (assuming we don't get stuck along the way in production), so I don't think I'll switch. I am closely watching what's happening with folks recently getting stuck. Anxiously waiting to hear from Granite LE folks emerging with E+ statuses.

FYI, if your dealer is providing you VINs & D1 status, they should also provide you an estimated build date. It shows up just to the left of your current status on their build screen:

My VIN is 144449 and I heard from the dealer that it had an 8/30 date. But I do not see that on the status sheet myself
