On my new EVOa I just had installed, all is well except I noticed a new rattle while driving on washboard and pebbled dirt roads. Turns out the sliding cab side window on the SmartCap is not perfectly tight in the vertical direction when closed. I can easily move it up and down a little, which causes a rattle off road. Seems the two metal bows above the sliding window do not put enough downward pressure on the window. Or perhaps there was a fitment issue with the rail itself, but it doesn't seem to be adjustable with regard to tension.

The fix I came up with was to apply a small foam cushion on the small metal slider at the bottom driver's side corner of the window. To apply the foam wedge, the window should be slid into the full open position. Lift the corner of the window and insert the wedge with the adhesive side facing up. When the window is slid shut, the wedge is completely flush between the window and the rail. No more play. No more rattling.

I thought about trying to find stronger metal bows to replace the existing ones, but I think that would make the window too difficult to slide back and forth.
