For those that are running 38" tires or larger...who kept the stock axles? Do you off-road? How are they holding up?

I'm running 38x13.5 Milestar Pats on stock Max Tow axles and wheel pretty hard. So far, they've held up just fine. I may do a swap sometime in the future for my own peace-of-mind (and because it would be fun), but for now, I'm in the "try it and see what happens" phase!

My front axle is getting ready to let go. I limped home this morning while on my way to work. I only ran Berdoo Canyon road and Gold Crown Road 2 times and the front axle is toast. I'm running 38" Patagonias with 10k on the odometer.

What exactly does that mean? Getting ready to let go?

I heard a loud, shrill noise coming from my front axle warning me that my front axle disconnect system is ready to grenade @jrf

Sorry for the ambiguity. "Let go" as in "Grenade". I was also told on FB that my axle seals might be defective. Tomorrow, I will take the truck in for a formal evaluation.

Post up what they determine, and if they cover it under warranty. I suspect that the disconnect motor sometimes fails to properly engage the locking collar. This has happened on some JLs as well. There is a FAD delete collar available from Spicer that I would like to install, but it may require programming...

I was told online by someone who saw my videos the seals might not be holding the oil properly in place. This afternoon, I will take the Gladiator to the dealership and let them examine the problem.
