Looking at the LOD mid width bumper and wondering if the frame tie in brackets mean what I think it means....

Basically is this a JK bumper that has these brackets to make it fit the JL/JT? Wondering if there would be any measurable compromise in strength given the added attachment for the hobbyist jeeper (easy to moderate trail riding).

I may be late to the party but I am pretty sure those tie-in brackets are required if you intend to hook up a tow bar to the bumper and tow the JT behind a motorhome or other vehicle.

Based on the linked schematic, the "tie in brackets" are only required if you are going to be connecting a tow bar
