I've seen that several folks have ordered the Freedom Edition but have not seen any pictures yet, maybe still being built. Any ideas how close the Gladiator Freedom Edition is to the Wrangler to get an idea of styling? Overall the package sounds good and the Wrangler version is nice. The cloth and leather seats seem like a good combination of style and being able to stay cool due to the cloth.
I know after ordering mine that it was pretty much the same thing. The caveat is the rock rails. Neither Jeep Chat nor the dealer know which is what is included between the Rubicon Rails or the Heavy Duty Rock Rails with step assist. I believe though the star decal on the passenger side rear quarter panel on the wrangler will be on both sides in the JT. I could be wrong. If anyone was wondering here is what the JT Freedom Edition includes.
Looks like the Jeep site just added Freedom Edition to the build tool. The star on the rear quarter panel looked to be cool n the passenger side, at first I thought may be a bug but seems may be intended.
I ended up with a Freedom edition, as that was the cheapest JT the dealer had on hand and I needed to buy a vehicle right away.
I feel fortunate the Freedom was there, waiting for me.
Without doing a single bit of research on the various trim levels, I feel I got a really good setup for my needs.
I'm planning on keeping mine pretty much stock and just adding a few upgrades, like side steps and a bull bar...maybe a winch.
I am going to paint my wheels gloss black, as I think it was a poor decision on Jeeps part to not put black wheels on from the start.
When these tires are done I'll probably go with 33's, maybe 35's...not sure yet.
That said the badges were over the top, I removed both star ones.
Mines a Max Tow, Aux Switch, few other dodads.
I really like it, leather but cloth seats (I prefer cloth for heat), LED lights, the rock protection, steel bumpers, just the right amount of luxury but usefulness.
