Just finished mounting, ready for testing.

No drilling into bed required.
Works with trail rails and tonneau covers.

Would you please show what is underneath and holding the bracket to the bed?

Quite like this option, actually. Nice to have the spare fuel under the tonneau cover and away from prying eyes. And I've always preferred jerry cans to Rotopax.

Hard to get a photo, tight spot. I used a M6X20 SS button head screw 80/20#17-6320 and M6 anodized backing plate 80/20#25-2492. I put a lock nut on to keep it from backing out. Fits perfectly against the tiedown round stock.

I know this is an older thread however I am curious how this system is holding up so far? Also, do you have any pics on what exactly is holding the Jerry can mount in place? I have a trip coming up and it would be nice to have some extra fuel.

Setup is working great. Tried to get away with a no drill application, but tank kept turning in from bed wall. May have worked if I used a wider extrusion on the vertical. I put a SS rivnut behind the tail light and tied it into the bottom extrusion with a 90 deg bracket. Need to replace steel bolt and t-nut with SS at some point. May also add rubber insert to keep debris out of track. Adding pics in a few.

Awesome! Thanks for the pics. I’m going to see if I can make something similar. Does the bottom piece run the entire length of the Jerry can holder?

22 inches of the 1050 profile, longest I could go before you start into the wheel well. Used item #13035 SS M8 T-but. 4 inches on the vertical. If you use the Frontrunner, may need to grind an 1/8th of an inch on the corner next to the wheel well.

Still mind blowing no company has made anything like this for the jerry can, I'd be first in line to buy it.

Very interesting way to carry some extra fuel and increase your range. What about mounting one on the other side as well? And with two racks installed how will it restrict the width of the bed for hauling gear with cans installed and without the cans mounted? Could you still haul sheets of plywood without cans in the holders?
