I do know the 4:1 Rock–Trac and Select-Trac full time transfer case optioned JT/JL do have the front axle disconnect (FAD) with CV joints on the front axle shafts instead of traditional u-joints, just curious know how the FAD operation differs between the part-time and full-time transfer cases.
With either the now available optioned 4:1 Rock–Trac or Selec-Trac full time 4WD transfer cases when shifted into 4H-Auto, does the FAD stay engaged like it does when shifted into 4H part-time and 4L? I'm assuming the FAD would stay engaged because it would take too much time to engage/disengage depending on wheel slippage detection. I have searched here and the jlwranglerforums but with no mention of the FAD operation with the full time 4WD transfer cases.
