Fumoto nipple length for QT aluminum engine skid

Now that the aluminum engine skid from quadratec is back in stock, I ordered mine. I also want to add a fumoto oil pan valve for easier oil changes. Wondering if anyone has installed the long nipple version of the F106 valve and if there is still room above the skid to accommodate the long nipple?

saw in another thread where a current owner of the short nipple valve had wished they gotten the longer version so that the hose stays on better. Since it’ll be protected by the skid, there is no reason not to go with the longer version, assuming there’s enough room between the oil drain plug and the skid.

I don’t have the long, but have the standard length above my oil pan skid as well. I can say that after several oil changes, there is no issue with the hose coming off of the short one. I have the 3.6. Here are links the the parts I purchased. I couldn’t be happier.

have normal nipple, also have zero issues with hose. great device
