I'm thinking about a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon. I have heard mixed reviews about the gas mileage. Living in New England with hills, and windy roads, I know we get less gas mileage than other areas of the country. Just wanted to see what everyone was getting locally before making my decision.

Mojave 15-21 depending on time of year ... I have MT tires ... I only see 19+ if under 60MPH ... It degrades quickly as you drive at higher speeds ...

Rubi will be pretty much the same. They both have either A/T or M/T tires and added weight.

If you go diesel, plan on never getting less than 20mpg stock. If you lift/add larger tires, you’ll drop to 19 city.

Something magical/detrimental happens when you get past 60~65mph. Your mileage falls off steeply.

See my average below. While it is not a Rubi it does have take-off Rubi wheels and tires and 4.10 gears courtesy of the Max Tow package. I also live in Northern NV which is one of the most mountainous areas of the country with plenty of wind.

I'm seeing a pretty consistent 17.5mpg on my hilly backroad commute on my Sport, I'd expect the Rubicon to be a little lower due to the heavier tires.

At least it runs on regular, my old Ram was around 13/14 on midgrade.

I'm pretty consistent at 21-24mpg with an all time average of just right around 22mpg on a stock Sport S with highway tread tires. Although, I drive this like I'm going to church on Sundays and I left an hour before I needed to get there.
