Gladiator fuel overflowing.

How’s it going guys and girls. Just got a gladiator Rubicon. Is anyone else out there having a pretty good amount of fuel overflowing when the tank fills up while pumping gas.?. I know the Jeep Has warranty but like many of us I like to avoid the dealer whenever possible. I know some jeeps in the past have had this issue but has anyone had it with a new models?

My 2006 Rubicon Burps up half a cup of gas each time you fill up if you don’t hold the nozzle right - thought Jeep would have fixed that by now...

The nozzle has a hard time going into the hole so I’m not sure if I’m supposed to force it down a little bit more if at all possible or whether it’s just a defect that jeep still hasn’t fixed.

How far down does your nozzle go into the filler hole. I could only get mine about halfway in.

I've learned with my '17 Trailhawk and continue with my Gladiator to stop when the auto shutoff stops the gas. If I try and top-off after the auto shutoff to hit a nice round multiple of $0.25 I always run the risk of a burp of a bit of gas.

I had two JKs that did this. So far so good on the gladiator...I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop though.

happened once for me during one of my first fill ups. It has a larger than usual gas evap rubber disc thingy. I chalked it up to not being deep enough. Hasn't happened again, but I ensure it's balls deep now...not just the tip.

Yes,
Mine does this and it is super annoying.
Nozzle is in as far as possible but it makes no difference.

Don't have this issue with my 17 JKUR. I let the pump do it's thing, when it clicks I let it sit for a handful of seconds, and then pull the trigger until it clicks off again. Don't ever have an issue with the gas overflowing.

That’s how it should be.

Don't pull the trigger a second time if you have a problem with overflowing. There's an sticker in your gas flap that says exactly this
