I went to purchase or even order a Sport or Sport S model with Max Tow to ensure I have enough payload for my family and trailer yet I was informed, “Sorry, this feature is not available with Max Tow.” This doesn’t seem to make sense as these are both road features one can find on the RAM1500 and plenty of other autos. Can anyone confirm they don’t have both of these on their build sheet or window sticker?

I would guess it's an issue with the chip shortage. They are probably only allowing it on the upper models. Does the builder tool on the web site show it as an option?

Yes it does actually. It was the dealer that said they couldn't put together that order and that the option doesn't exist.

Don't go by the consumer build-your-own, only the dealer order system is up to date. That web site has been wrong or behind many times over the years.
It's generally good, usually accurate, but the dealer has final say as he'd tied in with current information. If he can't order it you can't get it no matter what the marketing consumer site says.

Thanks but I guess that's the part that doesn't make much sense. These are "road" features and makes sense for the purpose. I guess what I am asking here is "not trust one dealer", who is another dealer here that can help explain this and why I can find this on some models. Also, does anyone else actually have these two features (besides Rocky Ridge custom trim)?

I think it's like so many other things - why could I not get auto high beams in November but could in December? Why could you not get painted fenders or roof on a Sport or Sport S but could any other level? There were combinations that you could not get when I ordered that weeks later changed. It's very possible their market studies showed that the public that bought a certain trim didn't care about specific things - money, costs, etc. for Jeep. Could also be supply shortages at this time.
You'll never figure out why some levels come with option A and others do not and you can't get Option A if you get option B on level C but can on level A.
Most likely dealers can't or won't be able to explain it - it's a Jeep marketing and internal decision process.

Try contacting another dealer and see if they tell you the same. You may have to wait a while to be able to order it. You might try searching other dealers inventory across the country and see if the combination is on a lot somewhere.

Did the dealer just check for Adaptive Cruise, or for the Adaptive Cruise and Forward Collision combo?

It might be because…. the power of Max Tow can’t be handled by those silly Nannies. Max Tow is for men who know stuff and tow it too.

Hmm I ordered my Sport S w/ Max Tow on 10/21 and added all the technology including adaptive cruise. Maybe chip shortage? I know some RAMs couldn’t be built with all the technology.

Agree with others on the shortage. When I ordered I couldn't get all-weather mats or the tonneau I wanted.

Best bet, try ordering from another dealer and see what they say. Make sure they have the package checked with ACC AND forward collision. It's definitely worth it.

There are many "luxury and convenience" options that Jeep doesn't let you order with some of the lower level trims. For example, you can only get leather on an Overland, Rubicon, or Mojave.

I suspect they do this in order to get you into the higher level trims. If you cold order a-la-carte it would be great. Start with a Sport-S and only add what you want.

For the off roaders on a budget, you could get a base Sport with front and rear lockers and larger wheels/tires.

Or for the luxury mall crawler on a budget, you could get leather, a big screen and all the toys with base wheels and tires (since you will be putting on 22s as soon as you get it) .

In my case, I didn't really need a rear locker (I would have preferred a limited slip) but wanted everything else on a Mojave so I only got stuck with one "unwanted" feature.

Or buy the new Sierra, and you won't have to use your hands to drive.
