Neat to see how they test for frontal area and weight at the same time. Simulates pulling a camper nicely.
That trailer likely weighs around 2,000 lbs. and I'm not sure about those weights. There are six of them so if they weigh 500 lbs. each that's another 3,000 lbs. worth of load. Interesting....
Agreed = trailer is likely at/above max weight rating for however the JT pulling it is rated.Wouldn’t be surprised if those are 1000lb weights and the total weight and trailer are 8000lbs. Manufactures seem to over test and then lower their ratings for consumers to be on the safe side.
Absolutely. All ratings given to consumers have a factor of safety built in.Wouldn’t be surprised if those are 1000lb weights and the total weight and trailer are 8000lbs. Manufactures seem to over test and then lower their ratings for consumers to be on the safe side.
Wonder what a trailer of 6,000 lbs of plywood would look like.Wouldn’t be surprised if those are 1000lb weights and the total weight and trailer are 8000lbs. Manufactures seem to over test and then lower their ratings for consumers to be on the safe side.
Would look like the dreams of the Gladiator Fourms.Wonder what a trailer of 6,000 lbs of plywood would look like.

4x8ft OSB pricing starts at $24.58 and 4x8ft plywood pricing starts at $23.85. I might bump up to the 3/4 inch for a few more dollars.i wonder how many guys are totally annoyed by the plywood talk? What do you estimate the size of the plates to be?
Estimate 6" x 18" x 48" C.R.S Plate = Mass = 1473.924 pounds x 6 is an 8843 pound load
@ 36" wide it would be -Mass = 1105.443 pounds x 6 =6632lbs
