I got the auto because the manual was still in limbo when I ordered. My first auto. It’s not as fun, but it’s still fun. My girlfriend can’t drive the manual either. She asked to learn the weekend before my JT arrived and quickly regretted that request.

I kept my manual TT when I got my manual JK. It was difficult going back and forth between them. Kept trying to stomp my TT’s clutch pedal through the floor. Ended up trading it on my ex wife’s Cherokee. Still kicking myself over that. Although I made her refund the trade value to me in the divorce :like:
Yeah, I’m just going to end up settling for the Auto. It’ll make for a nice daily. My TT’s reckless so it’ll be nice with creature comforts in the JT

@YAABUGGN thats great news man! Just to clarify... the dealer never cancelled your auto order after you added the manual?? Did they forget or figured they’d just sell yours when it arrived?
I think they figured they would of sold it because it’s an Auto so someone will buy it, however now that I’m taking it they deff will disband the Manual, because the market for it is Nil apparently

Date orderedNicknameTransmission

3/6YAABUGGNAuto

Although it doesn't seem to be showing an update on either one, YAABUGGN will be delivered to my dealership ETA: 6/15/20. the "build" build is not even in production yet

Just checked the tracker and it’s showing yours now as found/found. Any idea when it started build? And did you have a spray in bed liner or hard tonneau cover? I’ve been in frame since Monday, I’m hoping it moves to paint then trim quickly today and tomorrow.

Edit: Checked at 8am and I'm in paint now (GasparsRevenge).

I just received confirmation that Manual transmission orders are proceeding per schedule. My build is "scheduled" to begin the week of 7/6/2020. Order was placed 5/13. Overland, Manual.

This confirms what we surmised - a large group of MT orders are going to be built that week. Including older orders that have been sitting in the system since March (maybe even February), along with newer orders as recent as May.

Good to hear for all you folks and well over due! Sucks to be someone that is about to submit an order lol I wonder if they will be waiting months for another batch to build up?

SO my build is either in Trim or Inspection... depending on who you talk to. Either way it was in paint as of last night around 9pm and this morning it's in Trim according to Jeep Chat. The folks who prioritized my jeep at HQ say it's in inspection though.

I'm keeping all the dates documented. I'll post my timeline once it ships out so everyone waiting can get a rough idea of the build timeline post-covid with the plant spun back up on the 2 full 10hr shits 6-7 days a week and running at about 70% capacity.

Thank you. That”s great help. Will be watching for the dates.

It is now built and in final inspection. I spoke with Carina and asked if that meant my hard tri-fold tonneau cover and spray-in bed liner were installed and she was helpful because she gave me more than just the stand info. She said after it passes inspection there is another phase it goes into that is called "built pending installation of additional features or optional equipment". After that it will go back into final inspection again, then head over to shipping.
SO this is going to be the interesting part, as there has been some discussion surrounding how long it's taking for those specific items (covers and bed liner) to be done since they were prone to delays.

Like you once said to me, "that's the kind of detailed information I like".

Must be nice to get some actual intel from them! HAHA...

My Sport S sat for a weekend and 3-4 business days waiting for the bedliner (the only non-production line add-on that I can think of), and finally moved to the shipping phase at the end of last week. Since then I've received conflicting info ranging from a 6/1-6/15 delivery and it's in transit, to just the other day one of the Jeep Chat members said it was still in the factory yard with no shipping arrangements made and a 6/8-6/22 ETA...and the dealer claims to not know anything about where the JT is until it shows up at their front door.

patience...Patience...PATIENCE! I'm struggling a bit here! HA

You should be a relatively quick build then. Especially since my dealer said they heard rumors of Jeep ramping back up to 100% after June 18th.

@Glad_Sconnie are you saying the truck sat for a total of 5-6 days waiting on the bed liner??? FYI I believe they are working weekends from what I have read, so that would mean it legit sat for that many working days. When did this happen? And yeah, my patience would be shot if I went from being told it was possible en route to no idea when it's shipping.

Correct...28th (late) it was sent for bedliner, 3rd (afternoon) it was changed to JS - shipped to storage. Morning of the 5th I was told by Jeep Chat it was in transit and dealer said their system showed the same (KZ)...Tuesday (9th) I tried getting an update from Jeep Chat and was told it was sitting at the factory with no shipping arrangements and bumped out the ETA - claimed their system was up to date/accurate as of that morning...

So who knows?!? Amazon can track a $2 box of junk to know what city it is in...but a $40k truck is anywhere between the end of the production line and my dealer's lot! HA
