I searched, didn’t find a dedicated thread.

We upgraded to the Gladiator from our beloved JKU so we could haul more gear with our Airstream 16 Sport

First trip is this coming weekend to Manistee National Forest, then Oshkosh, then Indy.

I’m sure I’ll have a lot of trailer feedback soon :)

Nice!

Do you know the weight of your Bambi loaded with water etc? Tung weight?

I like it because it is so easy to hook up and go. Before I bought it I thought about refurbishing an old smaller Airstream. I searched all around and found several, one in a barn with chickens using it for a coup! I did find a 1949 original intact condition,by that I mean the curtains and interior, the original propane tank and the old style coupler. It would have been a labor of love because it would not be cost effective. Then I went and looked at a Bambi but settled on the Scamp.

Just live'n within our means and horse power!
Absolutely . . . I agree 100%, hope you didn't think I was being "obnoxious" . Those campers - there are a number of manufacturers making Very Similar Models / different names, but they are GOOD, not to mention stay DRY - no leaks like in some of the more conventional build RV's ( I know about RV Leakage - been there, done that, ugh ! And they DO make for a comfy Base Camp ! Happy Camping !

Here is my homebuilt 8ft teardrop camper. Has been on a lot of travels. Not very taxing to tow.......

What are those tires? 35's..? How do they compare with stock for towing?

That Scamp is a neat trailer, as is the Airstream. I decided to go more basic and pull a T@G which gives me an outside kitchen and a secure place to sleep -- but not much more. I had the suspension swapped out for a Timbren axel less and it goes down dirt roads with a lot less bouncing. I'll pull it with my JT next week off road in central AZ. It's only about 1500 pounds loaded but it does have electric brakes -- not that I can use them because, much to my surprise, the JT did not come with a trailer brake controller. Gotta add one at some point.
