Gobi Just became available and I wanted to see how many people were going with Gobi and how long they could possibly take. I ordered with Kent Shurtleff (@12psi) and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an awesome deal with an awesome person. I loaded my JT out pretty nicely, so I'm expecting a little bit of a longer wait, but I couldn't be happier with everything.

Ordered Date: March 4th
Ordered List:
Rubicon
3.6 Auto
Gobi (Duh)
Cloth seats
4:1 Rock-Trac
Trail Rail Management
Hardtop Headliner
Aux Switch group
Safety Group
Advanced Safety
Forward facing Trail Camera
LED Lights
Body color Fender Flares
Body Color Hard Top
Cold Weather Package
Steel Front Bumper
Trailer Tow Package

I will post updates as soon as my Gladiator starts moving. I'm curious to see how fast Jeep pumps these out with the "new" color.

I've been waiting since 2020 for a color I loved as much as Gobi. I'm going to be in on this Limited Run FOR SURE. Just traded in my 2014 Amp'd JKUR in January so I'm ready to get back into the Jeep world. Trying to decide on a Max Tow Sport S or a Rubicon. Not a big price difference when optioned similarly. I've got them working on a price quote so we'll see.

IMHO, go with the Rubicon for sure. The lockers were a huge deal for me.

Trying to decide on a Max Tow Sport S or a Rubicon. =
I had the same dilemma and went with the Rubicon for the absolutely stupid reason of wanting to say I tow a Rubicon with a Rubicon.

I am not sure where this extra 364lbs on a 2022 came from, but it put me in the clear by almost 1500lbs on my setup.
Before I bought it, I was under the impression that the Rubicon's max tow with auto trans was 7000lbs with a brake controller

My Maiden voyage was this past sunday and this is what I towed with zero issues. I have a Fishbone Half height rack with an iKamper Mini on it. [Search on my name to see more details]

The best part of this setup is, I can leave the TJ and trailer at home when I am just going camping and have front and rear lockers if needed

I think the rear springs and shocks on the Sport S Max tow would be a little better for towing and less bouncy than the Fox shocks and Rubicon springs, but overall I was really impressed.
It was a 72 mile drive each way for about 2 hours, so the total trip was 4 hrs of towing and it was less than a full tank of gas.

Wow. Nice. That certainly narrows the gap between max tow and Rubicon. Not that the Rubicon was bad to begin with.

Exactly
I felt the Rubicon with the locker and disconnect was a little bit more capable in more situations.
and I can always add airbags in the rear, but so far, I don't need that

Sorry to sidetrack the thread (just momentarily), but when we all meet up in March, are you going to drive the JT on any trails at all or just the TJ? Man I miss our TJ. It wasn't a Rubicon. Just a 97 sport with the 4.0. stupid Pennsylvania roadsalt rotted it out.

I could use either on the trails we are going to do, but I prefer to have a vehicle that is overkill when leading a group, to ensure I can help anyone get out of a jam if needed.

Can’t wait to see who’s the first to pick theirs up. This reminds me of the gecko thread🤣

Several members have stated they already placed orders through their dealer. I’ve heard Gupton mentioned directly.
