Might as well start the build page on this beast. Drove out to AZ to pick up a Gobi Sport S from Earnhardt for 35500. I couldn’t believe the price as it was cheaper then the JLs. So I bit the Bullet and traded in my 2019 Ford Ranger which I loved but wanted something more capable off road. Im going to miss that turbo it’s by far the best driving mid sized truck. This has been the dream truck along with the Raptor. But the Gladiator is much more practical. Not sure where this build us going to take me but let’s go!

Only three days old and already screwed up while off-roading my home trails. Decided against going up and over a rock and tried to go around but sadly landed on the side cause a few dents.

Made some fantastic craigslist deals in the past week and finally got them put on. Rubicon Shocks, Springs, Teraflex 1.5 spacers, and Rubicon rails all for 300! Not super impressed with the spacers but it looks great! Will hopefully get something more permanent soon (No spacers). Went to Firestone after and got it aligned no problem. The rails also cover up the dent pretty well. You can barely see it now.

Would love to go 37s but think I’ll hold off for a while and wait to pair those with a regear. So just ordered KO2 35s and the usual pairing Black Rhino Armory in Desert Sand. Should be here next week!

Nice CL finds and looking good. Not much on CL around here
Yup, when I bought my truck I looked on Craig’s the same day curious to see what was out there. I live in NM so the deals are hard to find here to. The only thing that came up was the Rubi suspension components for 200 which I couldn’t believe so I pounced. After I got the dent I kept looking for sliders but there was nothing. Of course in AZ they had several for 100-300. So I was kicking myself for not shopping for those when I picked up the truck. I decided to look one more time yesterday for sliders before spending a 1000 on some real sliders and a pair came up for 100 bucks brand new take offs. I couldn’t believe it and snatched it up as fast as I could.

These came in the mail today. Not sure I like the grab handles they sit pretty low. May have to try something else.

I’m waiting for escrow to close. I’m counting the days

and I have some stuff to move from this temp rental to the new house that will be easier with a 6’4” bed compared to a 5’ bed:LOL:

Took the Jeep out on a easy trail yesterday and let the wife drive. She loved it and even said she could get used to off roading! She likes it way better then my previous Tacoma and new Ranger that I had. Not that she ever gave me hard time about spending money but now maybe I won’t have to justify it as much now!

Anyone have thoughts on this bumper?? Could probably grab it for 230 and supposedly only weighs 60 something pounds. Awfully tempting at that price.

Looks like enough material there for 3 grab handles on each side. Just need a different mounting method- maybe using the holes in the roll cage.
