Going to 37s eventually, What steering upgrades are mandatory?

I feel like its worth noting(unless someone already mentioned this) In my humble humble opinion, the amount of necessary steering mods relates a lot to the weight of the tire. There's a huge variance of weight across 37s. Some are barely heavier than the stock Falken AT3w's and some are nearly 90 pounds.

Of course the weight of the tire isn't the only aspect that effects the steering, but still, thought id mention it. My 37s are only about 2 pounds heavier than the stock Falkens and I don't really notice any difference in the steering at all.

I am 120LBS per wheel on my tire/wheel combo. My stock setup was about 80lbs per wheel. I am noticing some differences, also the tires are wider then stock at 12.5, the width will also effect steering feel.

I'm more on the overbuilt side of things. Nothing worse than being the guy broken on the trail.

I'd change the gear ration to at least 4.88s. I ended up putting a PSC steering pump with 1800 PSI and cooler on. Was out wheeling with stock pump with 37's and power steering overheat which equaled to manual steering. And yes stronger steering component's all around. My dad always said one modification means 6 more!!

When in doubt, replace it all and remove the possibility for issues later.

I did mine a piece by piece approach.........easier on the wallet and you get to really feel what parts make a difference. I just installed the MC tie rod over the weekend and added half a turn on my Fox ATS stabilizer...........by far the most drastic difference out side of adding the MC sector shaft brace.

Didn't feel shits difference with the MC draglink or track bar, but nor did I expect any.

Got my new steering done. I decided to go with the Rusty's Offroad HD steering kit and trackbar with the brace too. I still need to do the sector shaft brace. I'm pretty pleaseed with it. I got lucky and they were doing a special where they included the alignment kit with the steering purchase. Holy cow, it is so much easier to do it with those.
