Gorilla glass or not?

Hi everyone! New to the forum and Jeep communities. I picked up a new 2022 Gladiator Rubicon last week and I'm loving it so far.... but... I've become a bit skeptical on whether the windshield is actually Gorilla Glass.

The build sheet/sticker claims it's Gorilla glass but based on the pictures I've seen online, and what I've seen on my dad's Gladiator (which has the Gorilla glass windshield), I don't think it's actually installed - check out the picture of the windshield etching I attached. If this isn't the Gorilla glass, did the dealer break the windshield, replace it with aftermarket, and then sell it without saying anything?!

If this is the case, I'm going to start wondering what else they left off the truck that's listed on the sticker......

I believe that if you don’t see the gorilla in the lower left corner then it is not gorilla glass. I have a 2022 that came with gorilla glass and that’s where I see the image

Gorilla Glass is a trademarked name - it's going to have a Gorilla in the lower left.

That almost looks like a replacement windshield. That's one of the companies Safelite uses.

The ORIGINAL will also have a Jeep in the lower right/passenger side corner.

If there's no Jeep image in the lower right/passenger side of the windshield, it's not an original. If there's no Gorilla in the lower left/driver side, it's not GG.

FFS.... that's what I thought. Welp, I guess I'm going to make a stink at the dealer. I'll update the thread with what they say. Thanks guys.

Could be - but if so, then it should not be on the window sticker or build sheet and he should not have it in the price.

It's proven time and time again to be a waste of money........save the money for your first windshield replacement lol

Yeah, none of those are on the windshield.... Definitely not GG. It's on the sticker and I paid for it, so I need the dealer to make it right. I want the GG.

Make a stink but FYI it’s not worth the cost. Just get a refund. I had to replace my GG windshield like 2 months after getting the truck and I don’t even think it was because of a stone chip - I think it was the defroster on a cold morning. Just my opinion obviously.

Good point. Maybe I'll ask for a refund and put that towards a bedliner or tonneau cover.

FYI: I've been told Gorilla Glass is on a national back order.

My oem windshield got cracked and I upgraded to the gorilla glass at the dealer. Just got it installed a couple weeks ago. It took about 8 weeks to come in.

As a gorilla glass owner, when mine breaks I'm replacing it with standard glass. Not worth the replacement. I'd fight for a spray on bedliner.

Not worth it, many people with it have reported here they get cracks like everyone else...I did get it with my 2022 because I was naïve. and it didn't cost much...After market an even bigger waste of money...It may even be the reasons I have what appears to be tinny bubbles in my factory glass (others here have reported this too). No amount of windexing or even trying polish gets rid of these because they are inside the glass...They don't effect your vision while driving so I don't concern myself with them, but on those (rare ;-) days you polish and do everything else to make your Beloved Truck "white-glove" clean, they are noticeable up close.
