GPS Freezes when using Waze on Android Auto

The "U Can't Connect" strikes again!

A new issue started a few weeks ago on a trip. I always plug my phone in using a USB C cable for Andoid Auto and then I use Waze for navigation. After a few seconds on the road, my GPS location on the UConnect screen stops moving and it caused me to miss a few turns while trying to figure this out.

I unplug phone, look at Waze on my phone, and it's fine. GPS location works. I plug it back in, GPS on UConnect screen is back to current, but then just freezes again. I'm using a Google Pixel 6 Pro on Android 12. All apps are up to date, including Android Auto. I even contacted JeepCares and they said my Uconnect is also up to date.

Anyone else having this issue recently? Any suggestions for solutions?

It is an issue with Waze and Android Auto. This is a problem with a wired and wireless connection.

My OnePlus 8t on Android 12 does the same thing.

I had these issues with the Mazda and Jeep. Both 2022s.

I have this same issue. My wife's Apple Carplay works just fine.

Mine has been faultless up to last week and now exactly as you describe.

I'm going on two months with this issue. Multiple updates to my waze and Android. Nothing has changed.

I'm sure between Waze, Android Auto, and Mopar's UConnect, all three are blaming each other to fix it.
