I had 2 of these and loved them. Square headlights worked with body style along with the last generation of SJ trucks and Wagoneer. I remember the debut of the YJ. It was hated by most every Jeeper. It did have lots of improvements over the CJ overall, but a steaming turd in the driver seat would have gotten a warmer welcome than the square headlights.Unless you count the Comanche...
Love my YJ the original wranglerI'm far from a Jeep historian, but I always thought the Wrangler YJ (1987-1995) was the ugly duckling of the Jeep Wrangler universe. The resale and online chatter seem to dictate that. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...
I am wondering - did you really mean square headlights (as most have assumed), or something different? How come nobody makes a grill that would square off the lights to make it look more old school? I'm assuming it has something to do with the laws within interfering with the stock round lights? I'm so tired of seeing all these angry bird grills.
I didn't mean a physicaly square headlight but just a front grill that would give it a square headlight appearance.I am wondering - did you really mean square headlights (as most have assumed), or something different?
My unpopular opinion is that the YJ is still better looking than the JK. The JL/JT platform fixed so many issues that the JK had.Love my YJ the original wrangler
Barebones, sport cage, can start it with a screwdriver and vicegrips if necessary. Very true to it's roots. My unpopular opinion is that the YJ is still better looking than the JK. The JL/JT platform fixed so many issues that the JK had.
They are actually seeing an increase in their popularity as used prices are rising.I'm far from a Jeep historian, but I always thought the Wrangler YJ (1987-1995) was the ugly duckling of the Jeep Wrangler universe.
