SO looking for a pre-fab custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure I ran across this company (Ground Shaker) They sell a 10" and 12" Subwoofer enclosure for our Gladys but man-o- man it is deep (thats what she said...lol). We have approx 11" to the edge of the seat and these boxes are 16" in depth. Even in the pictures it looks like back of feet will be hitting them. Thought Id pass it on.

Love companies are starting to come up with custom boxes.

I’m thinking I’m only going to go with a single 10” or 12” rather than the dual though

Pretty cool, but:
  1. Where does the amp go?
  2. You lose the bolt storage box
  3. You lose the jack kit

Also very excited to see more car audio stuff released specifically for the JT. I contacted JL Audio a month or so back, they are working on a stealthbox specifically for the JT so I'll be waiting to see what it can hold before moving forward with any purchase. I loved the W7 in my old ride, wish it would fit under the rear seat of the JT lol

Anyone try this box yet?
Maybe some better real world pics of how far it sticks out?

I sent them a message on Facebook asking if they’d release a single version, but no reply

I would be concerned about the excursion of the woofers in how close they sit to the bottom of the seats. The angle of the box does not match the angle of the seat, so the woofers are closer to the seat towards the rear than they appear to be from the front. Also if you wanted to get the Xmax number for a subwoofer to determine how much the woofer will move, remember that this in not Xlim (maximum possible excursion). You'll want to keep a threshold of 20% min of the subwoofer's Xmax.

No I'm not sure, just concerned, I would assume the manufacturer would have taken that into account. Different woofers have different travel AA makes stuff with 32mm of xmax where polk goes as low as 7mm.

I would love to see one with the same air space, ported and for a single sub. Maybe some forward firing 6.5" subs.

There is a guy on here with 4 forward facing 6.5s in an underseat enclosure

I really wish there were more boxes being offered. I'm going to build my own fiberglass enclosure in [half of] the same space but there's no way I will give up the jack kit or bolt storage box. Shouldn't be too hard when using an 8" woofer

Not every subwoofer setup is designed to be ridiculously loud. Bass is meant to compliment music, not overpower it
Absolutely!!

I hate overpowering bass. I had a single 10" 300w rms setup in my jk and it was perfect(usually ran it around 50% on the remote also)
Just enough to fill in what the mid range and tweeters couldn't.

I'm trying to figure out a similar setup for the JT. I have a powered 10" 200w rms in it not and its.. well... Ehh.
It's better than nothing but i find I'm lowering the HPF for the sound bar speakers to compensate for some of whats lacking
