I have a couple of questions for y'all running 37s.

1. What's the height of your roof? If I read correctly, the base height of the Rubicon is 73 inches. Add 2 inches for 37s and 2 inches for lift, I read that to be 77 inches tall from ground to roof? I'm asking because my parking ramp where I work has a height limit of 6'9" or 81 inches, and I want to make sure I would fit.

2. What do you do for a spare tire? Will a spare 37" fit below the bed?

Thanks!

77” is accurate, +/- .5”

Many people are using a 37” spare. Some fit, while some don’t. I’m using a 35x10.50 tire as my spare. My thought is that a fully inflated 35 should get me to the tire store. I will put it on the front so that the differential isn’t impacted.

I'm between 76-77" and fit in my parking garage just fine. My 37x12.5 R17 fits just fine in the spare position. Its snug, but it fits and I didn't have to air it down either.

Mine has 37s and a 2.75" lift. 77ish is right, hard to tell. I have a hard top. Soft tops usually are slightly taller. You'll be fine with 81".

I keep the spare in the stock location.

Trying to decide on the best lift tire combo for my JT Rubi - you mentioned yours has 37s and a 2.75" lift - if I may ask, what manufacturer/type of lift are you running sir? I'm thinking there's probably reasons behind the Mopar lift just being 2 inches (one size fits most, won't affect ride geometry, developed by Mopar and Jeep etc..) but I can't help but wonder if I should go 3 to 3 1/2. Maybe Metalcloak or Tereflex? Decisions ...

I had 37s stock and it looked and drive great. Only lifted it because I wanted more articulation to wheel it.

it’s the MOPAR lift with .75” spacers added. Although it lifted it over 3”.

Thanks Zach - this is helpful, didn't know what options I may have had w/ the Mopar lift. Been wheelin' mine bone stock and it does surprisingly well, but that setup sounds perfect with 37's. Very cool.

I have 2" Mopar lift with 1.5" Daystar leveling kit on the front only (I expect to drop 1/2 to 3/4's after I add front bumper and winch) Running Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x11.50R18LT D 127Q tires on Fuel 18x9 wheels. Total height is roughly 77.5". You can see the top of the drip rail is roughly 75.5" between the front and back doors.

Matching spare fit below the bed fully aired up.

Anyone running a soft top that could measure? I have a 2” Mopar lift and 35s and I am at 77.5” at the tallest bow in soft top. I’m about to put 37 bfg ko2s on this coming week. I’m thinking I’ll gain about 1.25” from those tires. Does that sound right?

Digging up this old thread by accident 🤣

I'm sitting at 81.5" with the soft top on 37s and the 2" mopar lift.
