I have a 2024 Gladiator Sport S with halogens. I am looking at OEM LEDs from All Mopar Parts - haven't decided on the original or blacked out headlights yet. I have yet to take the grill off, but the best I can tell it looks like the driver side headlight connector has 4 wires, passenger side has 3 wires. Based on other threads that I've read, I would need this harness (https://www.moparfactoryparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-headlamp-wiring-68414409ab) for the halos to work. Is this correct?

Also, All Mopar Parts makes this reference under their product:
  • Dealer programming is REQUIRED. Sales code LPX must be added to the vehicle.
I've seen videos/instructions on changing the headlight setting with a TAZER/JScan, but I don't think I've seen anything about a sales code. Can anyone clarify this?

Sales code is needed for the dealer to do it and add it to the records at Jeep. That way if a BCM flash or other similar flash is needed, it would keep that setting.

For JSCAN or AlfaOBD, you don't need the sales code, just which settings to change. It won't become a part of your vehicle as far as Jeep is concerned, but will still work.

I recently went with the blackened lights. Here are the part numbers, including the jumper harness. I have a 23 Rubicon and did not need the jumper harness. I ordered because there is no rhyme or reason as to if you will have it or not. The headlight will work with just the 3 wires but the 4th is for the Halo ring.

I used the Tazer and it is an easy change.

Perfect. That makes sense. Thanks for the quick answer.

I'm glad you posted pics of the blacked out headlights - that's what I'm going with.

I'll order the harness as well, just in case.

Thanks!

If you go the Tazer route, it does many more things than just the headlights.
I changed, not only the headlights, but the tail lights, DRLs and soon the Fogs. Each of those require the change of settings to LEDs.
In addition to the lights, I used it to turn off the 3 beeps if you leave the vehicle with the FOB, the seat belt chime and the license plate light when in reverse. Plus turn on the back up camera when turning and it remembers the last setting of the Start Stop switch so you dont need to turn it off each time you start up. I would recommend the extension cable that goes with the Tazer so you can easily take the Tazer out and put back in if you go to the dealer. The extension cable just makes it easier to access the SGW model and is not required, but well worth the few extra $$$ IMHO.

BTW, there is a promo code for 50% off shipping if you order from the company in the links I listed above.

Did you consider JW Speaker before kicking this one off? OEM is OEM and I can appreciate that, but the light temperature/color, and beam pattern of the JW’s are still hands down the best out there. (Miss ours from our JKU)

I considered them but they are out of stock at the moment. I also looked at the DV8 OEM style headlights buy their installation video requires wiring and I'd rather not do that.
All aftermarket led headlights with halos will require wiring (for the halos which is super easy)

The oem led headlights will require oem wiring harness, and is more in depth requiring tazor/jscan if I remember right.

If you look at fb market place though, you can find some oem leds...I been seeing them in my local area pretty often recently

Where can I find that promo code? They are proud of their shipping.

Wow why would you spend all that $$$$, when folks with them aren’t completely satisfied! Why not spend 1/4 that for very good LED bulbs. I’m using MORIMOTO TWO STROKE 3.0 H13, at approx $225 pair. That work amazing at night on the darkest roads the low beams are bright white with nice cut offs if aimed properly. I removed the air box to install the passenger side and it was tight but got both in without removing the grill.

Who said we aren't completely satisfied? A few aren't, sure - but they also believe brighter is always better, or certain other things that just aren't fact.
I'd never put cheap-ass headlights in any vehicle of mine - there's a good reason they are so cheap and it's not because they've done a lot of studying and follow all of the guidelines for lighting.

There a two issues I’ve read here in this forum. The high beams are not all that great and snow and ice can build up due to the lack of heat on the outer lens. For the $$$$ to buy from MOPAR, then have a dealer program? The $225 LED bulbs I installed in less than a hour, will have the low beams illuminate a two lane road from curb to curb, up to however far I aim them, but to keep from blinding oncoming traffic I lowered to approximately 2” lower at a 50” distance, that places it no higher than the taillights on an average sedan. The high beams will illuminate all 4 lanes way up ahead and further than I can read the signs. I don’t have to worry about snow and ice in Florida, but these bulbs have a reverse fan, that blows out the body towards the lens, keeping the area warm.
