Always had a soft top. Just installed and torqued down a hard top. Does this look spaced properly?

going to water test it and want to make sure I’m not gonna get soaked

Looks exactly like mine. I’ve never had a drop come through. Good work.

Sweet thanks. I’m used to the JK style where the rear was more flush against the body. The rubber seals threw me off a bit but looking deeper into this it appears once latched they make a pretty good water seal.

When I first got mine I questioned the seal at the windshield for the same reason. It even seals with a bunch of dried mud on it.

I’ve take my top off a bunch of times and always just screw it back into place, without paying much attention to fit. It’s never leaked.

I'd rather see a narrower gap. First make sure the rear top is as far forward as it will go. Then, if necessary, you can adjust the block that the front top pins go through rearward a little. Make sure there is enough coverage at the front of the tops also.
