Plenty of people who got a lift installed at a shop and didn't do a good job. I honestly don't trust anyone to change my oil properly. I had some warranty work done at my local Jeep dealership, and they had to remove my fenders to replace the O2 sensors. When I got it back, half of the plastic rivets were missing, and the plastic fenders were scratched where they removed the rivets. Nobody cares about my vehicle like I do.
Agreed- that’s a valid concern. My auto mechanical abilities are limited. I’m Ok with some modifications and oil changes but when it gets into lift kits and the tools needed to do that type of work… I’d prefer a trusted mechanic or skilled friend.

BTW I like that front bumper on your rig.… Where did you find that? You happy with it?

I agree! Having friends that can help is the best.

Thanks. The bumper is a Smittybilt Stryker bumper and it's been great. No complaints at all. It's not as heavy as the ones made out of plate steel and looks a lot more OEM. The ends come off and make a stubby, and I've been considering taking them off.

Small update. I was supposed to pick up the car Friday but at 5:00pm the shop calls to tell me they dont have hubcentric rings and need until Monday to get a set in stock. Hoping to (finally) pick up the Jeep on Monday and will share pictures then.

A slightly updated build list:
17” Fuel Vector wheels
37x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires
Oracle headlights
Oracle taillights
Morimoto fender lights
Oracle fog lights
1.5” leveling kit
Fox adjustable steering stabilizer
Tazer
Gladiator tail gate emblem

I also have a quote with another local shop to re-gear. They’re recommending Dana 5.13. I may also do a 2.5” lift with them when I re-gear (TBD). I’m in NJ and we dont have many hills or technical trails so I’m comfortable with the leveling kit for the time being, but I’d like to take the Jeep out west at some point and do some real off-roading. For that, I’ll need at least a 2.5” lift.

Quick note on Oracle lighting:
My shop has been building Jeeps since the 80s and they are comfortable using—and offering a warranty—the Oracle lights despite some people sharing bad experiences here. If the lights give me trouble, I’ll be moving to full Morimoto.

Open to any and all suggestions!
Oracle tailights are fine, I have all the flushmount, rteace track and the bmumber reverse lights, I would not change a thing.

But while you are considering the regear, maybe step it up just a notch, auto inflate/deflate tires on the move. check out this wayoflife video.

Thinking a 2-2.5” lift.
Nice looking Ride - looking really good, tires/wheels look great. Not sure you really need to lift it, are you experiencing rubbing.

Nice Oracle taillights they really good on the white, Are you planning on going all LED and possibly bumper reverse lights and then headlight & fender

Thank you! No rubbing yet. I don’t need a lift but I want to do some off roading (potentially in AZ/CO/Utah so I’d need a more substantial lift before that trip.

I love the taillights. I have full LED heads, fogs, fenders, tails. Fenders from Morimoto but everything else is Oracle. I don’t think I’ll swap out the reverse lights any time soon though.

37” tire over 17” rim was the right move.

Next up is a regear to 5.13 on April 16.
Whoa!! Looking great! And those lights, tho!!! Perfection.
