Just curious if anyone has gone all-out and removed their rear seats, installed a floor, or done anything substantial to make their Gladiator as Furry Copilot Friendly as possible.

My wife and I both use the typical Amazon doggy hammock things, and they work fine enough. But when it's only ever just the two of us and the dogs, I start to wonder why the hell I even have rear seats in the first place.

Especially when my newest copilot is going to be blocking my rear window sooner than later... lol

I removed the 60% seat and storage box to give our pups some more room. I put up a storage net between the front seats to try to keep them from jumping up front, but it sits low and stretches, so they manage to get over it occasionally. I ordered this BARTACT Pet Divider Storage bag May 10th, but still waiting for it to arrive.

I have a child, so need one seat in the back, but I thought about taking just one of the seats out, and putting a small platform there for the dog. My gladiator isnā€™t here yet, but Iā€™m hoping to get armorlite flooring, and when I take the seats out for that Iā€˜ll check out how feasible it is to do that.

That's a great idea, just removing the 60% side. I kept thinking I would have to get rid of all or nothing. Do they ever jump on the other seat that's still there?

Well actually yes. I did not remove the rear seat. But my labordoddle has all the space he needs, posh comfort with memory foam and a Zip line for safety. I made a platform with legs. The two center support legs go in the rear cup holder. The legs are adjustable and I can also use this in the wife's Lincoln Corsair. I also made a 3/4 platform in case I need to to tote a rear passenger. Just for info the Zip line allows the fur baby to lay down on the armrest area giving him access to both of us but he can't go any farther forward. Hope this helps.

I normally try to keep that seat folded up so they have more room, but our smaller dog likes to sit up there so she can see out the window. Occasionally they'll lean on the seat folded up, and cause it to come back down. We use the seat belt to keep it folded up so it doesn't fall down while they're back there.

Here ya go. Lowes baby. Note the legs that go in the cup holder. The table leg mounts are angled to accommodate the use of the cup holders and the angle of the center console. The legs and mounts can be found at lowes or home depot.

I keep the dog hammock in the back seat. If I removed it my 3 dogs would always be up on my lap. They like to look out the windows front back and sideways. The hammock keeps most of the sand or other crap they get on them contained fairly well. I also keep a couple of kennels in the bed when I am out swimming them all summer. The kennels with shade covers allow them more cool air than they get in the back seat.
