My JT is my first truck. I plan on hauling a lot of dirt and mulch and rock over the years. I've seen these cargo unloaders at Harbor Freight and they seem pretty slick. Amazon now sells one that will fit mid-size trucks.

Has anyone used these in the past? Thoughts, opinions?

Do they slide well on a sprayed bed liner? Workaround?

Any chance of damaging the truck or tailgate? The one Amazon customer showed pics of how it damaged his tailgate, but I know sometimes user-error can be involved.

You can see even in the example video the clamp flexing on the tailgate when he applies pressure. My guess is that after a period of uses it will weaken the flexed metal and cause the dent observed in the review. It is also concerning the amount of effort he has to expend as the leverage has to be applied from the arm since it doesn't use gearing to amplify the torque. Of course, it will depend on the weight of the material being slid - in this case rock, so quite heavy.

You could always use a 2x4 or a piece of plywood to distribute the pressure from the clamps :like:
