Thuds or a rear end bump feeling a second or two after stopping is usually signs of some slop in the driveline somewhere. Could be lash in the rear diff, slip joint, transmission torque converter or a combination.

On Ram trucks it was somewhat common with rear diff drive lash being the main culprit. If it is a once a blue moon thing and not readily repeatable, do not expect the dealership to do much of anything.

Fuel in tank. If it’s a diesel it’s common, no baffles so it sloshes and thumps

I'll try removing mine... good thought

Old post I know, any update on this? Mine is doing the same thing. I have checked all the suspension bolts and trac bars. I noticed it won’t do it if I put the trans in neutral before stopping.
