I just got this for my 21 Gladiator and the ~12mm M6 bolts don't fit into the threaded holes behind the plastic side cut outs......

Has anyone else had this issue?

PLEASE HELP, I am on my third different cover and I keep hitting issues (but that's beside the issue).

Put up a picture for reference, my add + no sleep isnt helping me visualize it.

also I remember folks having problems with paint and/or bed liner buildup in bolt holes that were affixed to the bed by the factory. Have you tried cleaning them out?

After putting all my eggs in one basket, I trusted a youtube video that someone had too much paint on the threadings but no bed lining. And just force it in to get past the paint and it would work. Well, the 3 of the 4 bolts are in...

I mean that’s pretty much what I did. I tried to scrape them out wits a small pic. Then used a .223 bore cleaning brush in a dril bit to clean them a bit more. And still had to force them in a bit.

There are plastic covers over the threads, take a screwdriver and carefully pull them off. I had the same issue.

SO how do you like the Rough Country tonneau? I'm looking at them now.
