I’d wait to drive the diesel - you could probably sell your LE and buy a diesel for way less than the cost of a motor swap.

Lol my truck only has 5k miles on it and I’ve asked myself this question about 5k times now. In the end I always decide to keep it 3.6 because I can’t figure out a scenario where I would actually NEED that kind of boost. Until it blows up in about 10 years. Then I’ll obviously revisit the swap scenario...

I had 100 miles on my Rubi when I pulled the trigger.

I put over 2,000 miles on it over the last five days and I absolutely love it!

Would do it again in a heart beat.

Don’t tell me that! I’m having a hard enough time as it is not ordering one right now. If I still lived out in Colorado there’s a good chance I would have already done it. But I moved out here to Hawaii a couple months ago and there is no chance of taking it out on a road trip to Moab or long drives to the trails anywhere.

I think I am going with the Magnuson, from Morris Off Road. Once I do that I do not believe there is anything I will miss about my 2019 RAM

What I want to know is can you supercharge the Pentastar and still tow a 5,000 lb. trailer on a summer day without the coolant temps getting out of control. If I see that done with video proof, I'll be a believer.

I plan to do just that, so I guess we will find out. Not sure if it is 5000lbs but it will be my race car on a trailer. Mine is the ford. The Camaro is my best friend's.

Don't know what that trailer weighs, but I pulled my father's GT500 on a UHaul car hauler last summer and it was 6,300 lbs. total. Gladiator with stock Pentastar towed like a dream BUT there was a 6% grade during the trip that was about 1 mile long and by the time I crested the hill the coolant temp was 238 degrees.

I don't see how any of these companies are going to keep temps. in check with a blower unit and heat exchanger mounted under the hood. Can't wait to see your results though. It could be interesting.

My guess, 5,000 and some change. The trailer empty is likely over 2,000. It's at least an 18 footer?
Curb weight of the Camaro new is over 3K Not sure of the 'stang. Some were 4 as I recall.

My trailer is 1208, it is aluminum. The car 3605 with tools and straps almost 5k. If I have to I will address cooling. I had to on my 2003 Sierra Denali when I supercharged it back in the day:)

I would be more concerned about tranny temps.

I think the trans is serious overkill for this machine. ZF has done a fine job on these units. People abuse them way beyond there ratings all the time and no ill effects. TFL trucks did the super IKE with a Rubicon and it did just fine for trans temps. Ot was the engine temp that started to climb and that can get a little dicey with a high compression aluminum block with iron cylinders and overhead cams. If cooling becomes a problem I will probably look at what Stewart EMP has to offer for inline high flow water pumps and C&F or Setrab heat exchangers.
