HomeLink Garage Door Buttons - Any Other Use?

So my JT-S/MT has the HomeLink Garage Door Buttons on the driver's visor. I don't have a garage and don't live in a gated community.
Can they be repurposed for anything else (e.g., missile launcher, loud bad music in adjacent car at traffic light, etc?)?

Have a button programmed to open my gate and the other for seat ejection system

The Pilot PL-SW29 remote switch works well with the HomeLink buttons.
There are write-ups in other threads.
Sort of a cheap way to get aux. switches.
