I have done the same thing, found several options. Mainly want me hear from forum members here who have bought them and installed them on their Gladiators. Want to read what folks feel is fairly secure and to see pictures.

I installed these today and they are shit. Tried to open it like my 6 yr old grandkid would do and they popped open real easy...just a soft metal latch that bends easy. Astra depot on Amazon..was 50 bucks plus tax Canadian. Piece of shit. Stay away.
Anyone know of anything with a better lock?

Locks are for honest people. If somebody wants to rob your hood they'll do it regardless of a lock.

Yes, but it takes longer if locked. Its like the bear chasing you story, you dont need to run fater than the bear, just faster than your buddy. Same rule apply with thieves, they always go for the easy pickings...

Popped my hood to fill washer fluid and forgot to unlock the Jeep first. Alarm scared the piss out of me. If a thief sticks around and keeps working with that thing going off, they they're going to get what they want anyhow. F the hood locks.

Wait, if your truck is locked, and you open the hood, there's an alarm? I thought that was a fake video.
