The Mojave hood is higher than the rest so you’ll have to replace the pieces on the rear sides and under the windshield to match. Look how my hood hinges are sunk in. Sounds like a pita

Thank you for that information. That make sense. I thought it was higher.

Other than looks there are minimal if any benefits to the Mohave hood. It’s taller so it won’t make your mileage any better, the scoop is not functional and some of those that wheel it have commented that their view of the trail is blocked to some degree.

If I had your hood, I’d install a Cascadia solar panel on it for a free 85 watts of power continually supplying power helping to eliminate battery related issues.

Additionally…it would help to reduce the glare!

Thanks for the information. However, I have a jeep milages is not a concern well cause when you have it lifted, bigger tires, milage just goes bye bye. The scoop can be functional if you take the black panel piece out. Then you have the open air flow. For wheeling will not be an issue since i have a front trail camera to see what is in front of me when i am wheeling. Thanks for your information. My plans are not just wheeling, will also be Jeep Fest as well.

Lol yea if you had my current hood that is on the sport s currently, you would be pissed. It has hail damage that is why i am replacing it with the help of my insurance as it has to be replace. I am just looking at my cost d
All mopar parts put together a conversion kit with all of the stuff to put a Mojave hood on other models. It’s the easy button.

Thank you, yea I was looking at that site as well. Which I just might go with them anyway. I have reached out to them, they stated it was at least an 8 week wait before they could ship. Which I know with supply issues still going on with parts. Which is not a problem with me.

Now I like that one. The front scoop seems to be able to draw air in, while the louvers expel hot air...all with drains. Interesting.
Yea i like it also. Yea i have the same issue, with my current hood. I got hail damage not just the hood. Insurance already put on to replace the hood. However, it is going into body shop next week to get everything repaired and painted. I will worry about replacing it later on. Cause i plan on replacing the motor and transmission later as well to the 392. So i just might get the 392 hood. This will be next year. For now i have other parts to get.
