How good can we get without a subwoofer?

So I'm looking at a new radio and converting the knee/ overhead speakers to 6.5". I use all of the potential woofer locations for storage, recovery gear, etc. I'm curious if its possible to build out a good, balanced system (better than factory upgraded alpine, but doesn't have to rattle any jaws) without a dedicated woofer or if I should just move all my gear to a bed system and drop in a nice sub?

I added the Kicker Powered Sub, it fit in the factory sub location so you don't loose any storage.
